About Me

I'm a journalism student and a local newspaper reporter who specialises in sharing community stories, council reporting and hyperlocal journalism.

Alongside my professional training at UWE, working at Filton Voice has allowed me to cut my teeth as a journalist and develop skills across the wider publication process.

Working for a print publication has nurtured an organic start to my career, enabling me to grow my skillset in sourcing stories and broadening my community outreach.

I have a strong knowledge of media law and the Ofcom Code, accompanied by an understanding of local democracy and regulation.

I am proficient in using WordPress, a skill I have developed as I have managed the Filton Voice website throughout my time at the company.

Time management is a valued skill of mine. I consistently meet publication deadlines whilst also managing my time across two part-time jobs, volunteering and a full-time university course.
